Tenda Router Settings

Most Tenda routers use 192.168.0.1 as the default gateway. Default login is often admin / admin or no password. Check the sticker on the device.

How to Access Tenda Router

1. Connect to the Tenda WiFi or via Ethernet.
2. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
3. Enter the default username and password.
4. Change the admin password when asked.

WiFi Setup

In the Tenda interface: Wireless or Wi-Fi Settings. Set the network name (SSID) and WiFi password. Save and let devices reconnect with the new password.

DNS and WAN Settings

Under WAN or Internet Settings you can set connection type (DHCP/PPPoE/Static) and DNS servers. Use 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 for Google DNS. See DNS Settings.

Reset Tenda Router

Use the reset button (small hole) on the router. Hold for about 10 seconds until the LEDs blink. The router will restore factory settings and default login (often admin/admin). You will need to set up WiFi name, password and admin password again. Full steps: Reset Tenda Router.

MAC Filter and Access Control

To block a specific device, go to Wireless → MAC Filter or Access Control. Enable the feature and add the device’s MAC address to the block (deny) list. You can find connected devices and their MAC addresses under DHCP or Connected Devices. See How to Blacklist a WiFi User for details.

Default Tenda Login Credentials

Most units use admin / admin or admin with no password on first access. Confirm on the sticker and Router Passwords – Tenda.

Common Tenda Models

AC series (AC6, AC10, AC23), Nova mesh, and F3 budget routers share a compact web UI. Some newer models push the Tenda WiFi app but still allow browser access at 192.168.0.1. Menu labels may read WiFi Settings or Wireless depending on firmware language.

How to Find Your Tenda Router IP

ipconfig

1. Connect to Tenda WiFi or LAN.
2. Run ipconfig and note Default Gateway (usually 192.168.0.1).

Device sticker

Default IP, SSID, and login password are printed on the bottom label. If the router acts as a repeater, admin may be on a different subnet—use ipconfig from a connected PC.

Change WiFi SSID and Password

Wireless → WiFi Settings or Wireless Basic Settings. Set SSID, security (WPA2-PSK), and password for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz if listed separately. Save and reconnect. Test with homespeedtest.com.

Change the Administrator Password

System → Login Password or Management → Admin. Set a strong password after first login. Review How to Protect Your WiFi Network.

DNS Settings

Internet Settings or WAN → enable manual DNS and enter servers (see DNS Settings). Apply and restart WAN if needed.

DHCP and Connected Devices

DHCP → DHCP Client List or Status shows online clients and MAC addresses. Use static DHCP or reservation if your model supports it before configuring port forwarding.

Port Forwarding and Guest WiFi

Advanced → Port Forwarding or Virtual Server: external port, internal IP, internal port, protocol. Guest network (when available) is under Wireless → Guest Network with isolated SSID.

Firmware Update Cautions

Download firmware only for your exact Tenda model from the official site. Do not unplug power during upgrade. Wrong file or interrupted update may require reset via pinhole.
