ZTE Router and Modem Settings
ZTE routers and modems often use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Default login is usually admin / admin or a password on the device label. Check Router Passwords for your model.
How to Access ZTE Device
- Connect to the ZTE WiFi or with Ethernet.
- Open a browser and go to
http://192.168.1.1orhttp://192.168.0.1. - Enter the default username and password (often admin/admin).
- Some ZTE devices use a sticker on the back for the login URL and password.
WiFi Settings
In the ZTE interface, go to WLAN or Wireless. Set the SSID (network name) and WiFi password (WPA2). Save and reconnect devices.
DNS and WAN
Under Network or WAN you can set connection type (DHCP/PPPoE) and DNS servers. Use 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 for Google DNS. See DNS Settings.
Reset ZTE Router/Modem
Use the reset button (small hole). Hold for about 10 seconds until the LEDs change and the device reboots. Factory settings and default password will be restored. You may need to reconfigure WiFi and, if you use PPPoE or other ISP settings, enter them again. Full steps: Reset ZTE Router or Modem.
ISP and PPPoE Settings
If your internet requires PPPoE (username and password from your ISP), find WAN or Internet settings and set the connection type to PPPoE. Enter the username and password provided by your provider. Some ZTE modems are pre-configured by the ISP; if you reset the device, you may need to contact the ISP for the correct settings or use the details on the sticker or contract.
